I know all of the kids and parents are REALLY sick of doing homework. I have finally admitted that I am too! We have decided there will be no more from here on out. The one exception is for the kids to study their final spelling words for the test tomorrow!
Thanks for all your diligence in helping your child to complete and turn in homework throughout the year. I know we kept it going pretty hard, but we had a lot to do and the kids needed to practice their skills.
Hang in there—only 6 more days!

As you may have heard, I was not in school yesterday as I was recovering from my son’s graduation, 18th birthday and, most of all, from being a chaperone at his Project Graduation (an all nighter!).
Anyway, after seeing the sub’s notes, it appears that the class did an okay job with her considering the sweltering heat in the room. I understand she had the students do much, perhaps all, of their homework in class. So, if they told you that it is true even though it was not posted on the homework page.
Just a thought—when the day’s high temps are expected to be really hot (above 80 degress especially), please be sure to send your child with a water bottle. It gets VERY hot in the room since we are on the top floor and have the sunny side of the school. I have supplied each child who needs one for today, but if you could send one from now on that would be great. PLEASE send only regular water! It is really all they need to stay hydrated, plus it does not give us the added issue of sugar highs throughout the day. Additionally, when it spills, and it often does, water is much easier to clean up.

Can you tell the end of the year is almost here? I can! Sorry, but I have been a bit lax lately with posting the homework. I just realized I did not post it for the week yesterday. Anyway, it is updated now.
The kids are doing quite well in spite of the end of year excitement. The frog reports are awesome!
